ZTE is a Chinese company that wants to launch a smartphone with an unusual appearance. This is not the first time ZTE has tried its strengths in innovation. When I saw the graphics of the new device – I grabbed my head. This is literally – an exaggeration of form over the content.
ZTE Axon V – different, but better?
The network has appeared graphics presenting the exact appearance of the smartphone ZTE Axon V. What is in it the most striking is the screen edge-to-edge without any cut-outs. The problem is that the equipment has a dual, front camera, but "glued permanently" on the side. I will not elaborate on the details of the phone itself, because we have already mentioned this in our pages. I am interested in the following article. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/977460/zte-axon-v-wyglad-grafiki-wciecie/ The screen is to have up to 6.8-inch diagonal. It is still not known how the device will look in terms of dimensions. If ZTE thinks that such a smartphone will be better than others, I already have huge doubts about it.
Axon V is an overflow of form over the content
ZTE probably does not know anything about design, because I have no idea how a device with protruding "growth" can be liked. It completely disturbs symmetry and even the big screen does not save it. Fortunately, both webcams have a streamlined shape. That's so much for joy. I am sure that this project is simply an idea to build a quick publicity to raise the quotes of a Chinese company. Seeing Axon V, I think about moments when my protruding camera hurts – in my pocket, on the desk or when taking pictures with my back camera. Not to mention the problem of placing the device in a holster or buying a suitable case. Of course you can get used to this kind of performance, but that's not the point here. ZTE flew away with your idea into space, because that's how the apparatus is the over-development of form over the content. It is seeking innovation for strength and building publicity on controversy. Pay attention to the sliding cameras in other smartphone models – it makes sense. Symmetry is preserved, and when a selfie camera is needed – it leaves as a given blade from a multifunctional penknife. ZTE breaks this scheme so sharply that it is hard to accept. People in nature like symmetrical things and I'm sure most will not like this solution – no matter how much space was saved under the hood – no one looks there.
ZTE is not the first time having strange ideas
ZTE just two years ago wanted to shock us with the first folding smartphone. As it turned out later, it was a big dud. ZTE Axon M is a device with a double screen, which actually looks as if one side glued to each other two smartphones. This device has never reached wider water, and it was available at the start "exclusive" of one of the American operators. I doubt that Axon M achieved great success because I did not get that information. The other thing is that Axon V may still not be in production – so far only conceptual graphics are mentioned. In any case, I do not believe in its success , and what ZTE does is profanation of aesthetics. I know that these are strong words, although I can not describe the search for "innovation" in a different way 🙂 https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/762928/zte-axon-m-specyfikacja-cena-zdjecia/
