Material for a hit or a big putty? We know the specification of LG K12

LG K12 is coming – a smartphone from a lower middle class, whose premieres we expect at MWC 2019. We got to know the look and the partial specification of the LG K12. Does this smartphone have a chance to repeat the sales success of the first LG K10 or will it be forgotten just after its debut?

The popularity of LG K10 from 2016 is a phenomenon that I can not explain as a maniaK. This rather inconspicuous smartphone, quite average at the time of the premiere, turned out to be a real sales hit on the Polish market. Probably it resulted from low prices of operators and the appropriate logo on the housing – Poles rather like (liked?) LG. The later model, LG K10 (2017) did not become such a hit as its predecessor, and last year's LG K11 … let's say that he did not do crazy, mainly due to too low parameters at too high a price. LG apparently came to the conclusion that it is worth trying further, as he is working on the next smartphone in this series. We just got to know the look and the partial specification of the LG K12 – let's take a closer look at it.

Specification LG K12

The available materials indicate that the LG K12 is to be powered by the MediaTek MT6762 unit, i.e. the P22 helium. It consists of an 8-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked up to 2 GHz. The layout is PowerVR GE8320. Three GB of RAM will come to that. The same set can be found, among others in Xiaomi Redmi 6 ( check the price in stores ).

The LG K12 screen boast a diagonal of approximately 5.5-7.5 inches , 18: 9 aspect ratio and HD + resolution (1440×720) . In 2019, this is an absolute minimum in the lower middle class, although LG's fatigue by one resolution in four successive smartphones of the same series is probably a bit excessive. Exactly the same can be said about the fact that the LG K12 is supposed to work under the control of Android Oreo , even though Pie has been on the market for many months. It's sad, but not surprising, especially when you look at the list with update dates for LG smartphones.

The LG K12 look

When it comes to the presence of the LG K12, we only see the front of the smartphone on the shared graphics. The frames are not overly narrow, but the phone looks pretty good.

LG K12 – hit or putty?

Although we do not know everything about the LG K12 yet, I already know that its price will be crucial. If LG decided on the amount of around PLN 600 or lower , the LG K12 would have a good chance of good sales, especially for operators. I am afraid, however, that this will not be the case and LG will keep the price of its predecessors, who were available for the start for PLN 849 , and the LG K12, priced in such a way, will be lost in the crowd of much better equipped rivals. Everything will be explained at the premiere of LG K12, which we expect at MWC 2019. Source
