Wrapped in a touch of mystery, the Nokia 9 PureView poses on detailed graphics that confirm the previous flagship's vision – it will receive as many as five cameras and a unique style in the current period. Is it enough for the smartphone to become a hit?
HMD Global is recording profits
Last year's sales results indicate one thing – the legendary Nokia is really coming back , although it will take some time to get it to real speed. HMD Global is rapidly improving its results, recording sales of 126% in comparison to 2017 in the previous year. Although figures do not look so spectacular and show the gap between the Finnish brand and the colossi from the first places of the ranking, however, in the face of a downward trend for the entire telephony market, the results of HMD Global should be considered at least promising. One of the bricks in the success of the Finns was built by Polish customers, whom Nokia is associated primarily with the former sentiment and in many cases unambiguously positive. Another fact speaks for the benefit of the producer, namely the creation of solid and well-equipped mediæs, which constitute the sales force in our country.
The unique flagship of Nokia is coming
Nevertheless, HMD Global does not want to shut down in the niche of cheaper smartphones and will soon launch a unique device – the flagship Nokia 9 PureView has just revealed its detailed appearance and confirmed previous reports. The smartphone will be the world's first model with five lenses on the back wall and will maintain a narrow-cornered design with a rectangular and symmetrical display, which in the era of indentations and holes does not seem so obvious. It is mainly these two features that make it unique and serve as the basis for which the manufacturer will add a handful of technologies.
Screen without indentation and a great camera
The display of the model is to reach a range of 5.99-inch , 2K resolution and an aspect ratio of 18: 9 , which perfectly matches movies and series. One of the technological flavors is to be a built-in biometric sensor that allows unlocking the phone, although the option of recognizing the face will appear with a high probability in the package. There is no doubt that the most interesting feature of the Nokia 9 PureView will be five cameras with ZEISS optics , which according to the initiated have to work together or separately, depending on the lighting conditions. The possibilities of the unit will be visible not only at night, when the camera will collect much more light, but also in shots with a wide and narrow frame. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/943014/nokia-9-pureview-aparat-5-obiektywow/ The flagship construction is coherent and elegant, although there is not enough room for a dedicated 3.5 mm jack – fans of listening to music in the traditional way will they had to settle for connecting headphones with a USB Type C input.
Last year's processor will be a problem?
Some may also admit to the lack of the latest processor on a smartphone from a high shelf, although in practice the differences may not be noticeable. Nokia 9 PureView will take advantage of the possibility of an 8-core Snapdragon 845 unit connected to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of space for files that still leave no illusions about performance during multitasking.Inside the housing with dimensions of 155 x 75 x 7.9 mm will still have a battery with a presumed capacity of 4150 mAh, which will solve the problems with low energy efficiency and provide power to operate for at least one and a half days. The icing on the cake of the specification is affiliation to the Android One program, which guarantees quick security patches and system updates for two years, starting from the release date. Nokia 9 PureView will debut on February 24 at MWC 2019, revealing all the secrets of the camera and other parts of technicals. Its initial price was set at 749 euros, or about 3210 zlotys, which in our country may be rounded up to a minimum of 3299 zlotys.
