Xiaomi and Huawei decided to argue about which their flagship has a better camera. Arguments in this exchange of opinions can make you laugh.
Nowadays, smartphones consist of at least a few important parts that must interact with each other so that the model can succeed. The quality of photos, efficiency and performance are the main attributes that determine our final purchase decision. No wonder every producer wants to be the best at it. Determining which smartphone is a complete device is not the easiest one, but they can help us with benchmark tests and independent brands' rankings. In the case of performance, we often look at the results of smartphones in the Geekbench and AnTuTu tests, while the department of cameras is the specialty of DxOMark. It is worth remembering that tests are only numbers that may deviate or do not have any contact with reality at all. However, the creators of smartphones like to use them as a support for their ego and emphasize their superiority. Huawei and Xiaomi argued about one of these tests.
Xiaomi and Huawei cameras in the clash
For several months in the DxOMark ranking, the Huawei P20 Pro has dominated the dominant position, which has conquered the market with its triple camera. The flagship with the score of 109 points was not able to overtake even the latest iPhone XS Max, and also it turned out that the hot Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was also lower (103 points).During the launch of the latest smartphone Xiaomi, the head of the brand assured us of the superiority of the camera on his smartphone, and in particular the advantage over P20 Pro technologies. Recalling briefly the specification of the Mi Mix 3, it has a dual lens at the back in the configuration: 12 MP with a Sony IMX363 sensor and f / 1.8 + telephoto lens for 12 MP portraits. Let's not forget about the improved software that the creator implemented – Xiaomi programmers squeezed the last juices out of the system. The above set is slightly less impressive than the P20 Pro, which is photographed with three eyeballs: the main 40 MP, black and white and the camera with three optical zoom . However, these are only numbers. In the detailed test , the Mi Mix 3 cameras were appreciated by fast autofocus, adequate white balance, LED operation and interesting wide angle shots. The disadvantages include noise in contrasting scenes , an inaccurate bokeh effect and the combination of colors in photos taken indoors.
Parade of meaningful arguments
Huawei decided to respond to the taunts and CEO of the brand Richard Yu briefly acknowledged the boast of Xiaomi: "No smartphone can surpass the Huawei P20 Pro in the short term, only we can chase ourselves." The boss's ego, Huawei, therefore stays at a very high level. On the other side, Xiaomi responded by saying that "the most expensive is not the best" and mentioned building a solid foundation instead of equipping the Mi Mix 3 with unnecessary accessories and trinkets.
