Nokia 7.1 Plus will soon debut as the next medium from HMD Global. On board will be Snapdragon 710, a double camera and a large screen with a distinctive note . We are checking if it is enough to replace Nokia 7 Plus.
New Nokia on the horizon
HMD Global is familiar with the creation of mid-range smartphones – one of the best models of the manufacturer is currently Nokia 7 Plus, whose users have recently received an update to the latest Android 9 Pie. The model itself has been repeatedly appreciated for great value for money, and its test can be read in Damian's review. For several weeks, the media have reported the appearance of a successor for Nokia 7 Plus , a smartphone with a cosmetically changed name – Nokia 7.1 Plus (X7 in China) is expected to appear to the world on October 4 . Some sources say about October 11, when HMD Global is organizing a second conference, but on it we should see the flagship Nokia 9. Going to the bottom, is Nokia 7.1 Plus a well-equipped successor and a new king of the middle zone? We'll look at her under the microscope.
Components worthy of an efficient average man
The technical specification of the smartphone features an 8-core Snapdragon 710 , a chipset based on two strong Kryo 360 cores with a maximum clocking of 2.2 GHz and six energy-saving chips with a 1.7 GHz clock. SoC used is an efficient refreshment for Snapdragon 660, which can be found in the predecessor. Nokia 7.1 Plus will appear in a variant with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and two memory configurations for 64 or 128 GB files. We can expand this with a microSD card up to 400 GB. I must admit that the version with 6 GB of RAM looks promising much more promising – it will be difficult to find a medium with a better configuration.
Quick updates from Android One
The model system will become Android 8.1 Oreo with the promised update to the 9 Pie version . In addition to the new Android, Nokia 7.1 Plus users will not have to worry about the current security files and other fixes, because the model will join the Android One program – intended to guarantee quick updates from HMD Global.
Screen with a note
In the front panel of the new Nokia, we find a 6.2-inch screen with a distinctive note . We have not seen indents in the predecessor, but have models from the Plus series – the producer decided to follow this path. Is it right? In my humble opinion, not necessarily, Nokia 7.1 Plus with a classic screen would be a much better choice.
Dual camera and battery
Other details of the latest smartphone specification include a 12 MP + 13 MP dual camera , an improved set known from the previous Nokia. We can therefore expect a good quality of photography during the day and slightly worse photos in low light conditions. Of course, a lot depends on the manufacturer's software, but some limitations of the used optics can not be overcome.A 3400 mAh battery with a fast charging option will also be on board – looking at the anticipated battery capacity of the forthcoming LG V40 ThinQ flagship (3300 mAh), it's hard not to praise HMD Global for the used cell. Briefly summarizing, Nokia 7.1 Plus has several improvements to its predecessor, but it did not quite convince me, which is why the price will be the key. According to the initial forecasts, the smartphone is to be valued at approximately PLN 1450 . In Poland, this sum may grow by several hundred zlotys. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/900036/czym-bedzie-sie-roznic-nokia-71-od-71-plus-prawie-niczego/ Source: FoneArena , Baidu [CST_6 ]
