Here’s Xiaomi Black Shark 2. Please, let’s not be true …

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 specification has entered the network. The components are top, but the look has not changed much compared to its predecessor. What is Xiaomi Black Shark 2 to attract the customer to?

Xiaomi Black Shark was one of the most unusual smartphones, which in 2018 appeared on the market. Certainly it can not be said that it looks like competition models. Aggressive design that we associate with gaming laptops stood in opposition to elegant, glass blocks. The successor will continue this trend, but this change will not bring much. It's a pity …

Specifications of Xiaomi Black Shark 2 …

… it will be top, but it will not surprise us. The heart of the device will of course be the Snapdragon 845, because nothing more efficient Xiaomi can not bet at this point. It is a pity that they have not decided to wait until the premiere of the Snapdragon 855 system, because it will surely bring a huge leap in computing power. RAM? 8 GB, or performance will be top, but certainly not the best on the market .

The rest of the specification also does not bring any surprises. The screen is a 6-inch unit with FullHD + resolution, that is, aspect 18: 9. The most interesting point of this screen is covering the DCI-P3 color scale, which is to reach 97 percent. It is a pity that the leaks do not mention anything about the higher refresh rate, which in the gaming smartphone actually makes sense. Well, there is notch, which is not likely to meet with a warm reception . As far as its presence normally does not bother me, on a smartphone designed mainly for games (i.e. most of the time kept mainly in the level), the asymmetry would irritate me.

What will be missing in Xiaomi Black Shark 2?

In my opinion, there will be no reasons why the owners of the previous Black Shark model (or any smartphone with the highest shelf with a reasonable battery capacity) would exchange their smartphones for the Xiaomi gaming model. A 4000 mAh battery will ensure good working time away from the socket and allow for a few hours of gameplay, but here you are asking for something above 5000 mAh. And yet Xiaomi knows how to create equipment with a brilliant battery. On board you will be checked in for a double camera, but let's be honest – it's just an addition, because this is not what this smartphone is supposed to serve. As several manufacturers have entered the gaming phone segment, the competition is becoming more compact. And in this clash I do not see any special reason for someone to bet on Xiaomi BlackShark 2 , since POCOPHONE F1 is on the market, for example.
