One of the sites has conducted a battery test on the latest XS and XS Max iPhones. It shows that the latest Apple flagship withstands less than last year's "ten" on one charge.
The iPhone X works more efficiently than the iPhone XS and XS Max
Tom's Guide published the results of a test carried out on batteries of different smartphones – the last year's model of the iPhone X appeared in the list. The results are quite surprising. Both the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max did not even match the results of last year's "ten" . The test included surfing the Internet after connecting to the 4G network continuously, until the battery runs out. Display brightness has been set to 150 rivets. Settings for the automatic change of screen brightness and TrueTone have been disabled. The iPhone XS Max lasted 10 hours and 38 minutes, while the iPhone XS managed to unscrew only 9 hours and 41 minutes. These results have nothing to do with last year's test with the iPhone X model, which stretched as much as 10 hours and 49 minutes.
iPhone XS Max with the best time, but …
Compared to XS, the version with the note Max obviously went better – that is, above the average in its category. Exactly 7 minutes ran out of this year's XS model to exceed this barrier. The worse on the list turned out to be only HTC U12 + and LG G7 ThinQ. And above? Well, this list is much longer. Much better times have OnePlus 6, Galaxy Note 9, Pixel 2 XL or P20 Pro, which has an incredible 14 hours and 13 minutes. The latter is the leader of the list.
Marketing or lack of optimization in the software?
Apple advertises its smartphones claiming that the iPhone XS will last up to 12 hours while browsing the Internet. The same data was reported a year ago when the iPhone X debuted. The iPhone XS Max is designed to last up to 13 hours on a single charge. Apple adds an asterisk, in which he explains that for the duration of the smartphone operation consists of many factors. This is about the system version or hardware optimization. The signal strength of the radio receiver responsible for data transmission over the LTE network can also have an impact. Some users comment on this article defending Apple. The topic is spoken by people who have changed from X to XS and claim that the smartphone operates on a single charge much longer. Apple says that the iPhone XS can run up to 30 minutes longer than the iPhone X, while users of the iPhone XS Max should wait up to an hour and a half of the phone's life. It's hard to say that the latest iPhones work worse than the "ten". One test is plausible, although more is needed and carried out under different conditions to clearly state that no factors have significantly impaired the operation of the equipment on a single charge. This is not the first problem that "flows out" in recent days. Earlier, we reported that some users complain about worse Wi-Fi and LTE networks. Let's hope that Apple will soon answer all the "accumulating problems" of recent days. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/900140/iphone-xs-max-wifi-lt-poleczenie-problemy/ Source: Tom's Guide
