Koreans have never been known for particularly quick updates – the competition has always done it more efficiently. Will it be different this time? Time will show, so far we have come to interesting screenshots.
Looking through the prism of recent years, Samsung has never been able to boast of providing quick updates. Everyone else always had a reason to laugh at a competitor. Not to mention Apple, which has been perfectly solved in the matter of new software. All thanks to the small number of devices and the ability to easily adapt the system to all of their own devices, and the immediate distribution of the newly presented iOS.However, there is a light in the tunnel and hope that this time we will not have to wait for so long. We've reached the first screenshots where we can see the changes that Samsung plans to make.
New Android and the next edition of Samsung Experience
It is worth mentioning at the beginning that this update is not a matter of a few weeks, but rather a few months. So far we are dealing with one of the early test compilations, but nevertheless nice to know that the manufacturer is already doing something towards Android Pie.The changes are already starting on the lock screen, where we'll see new, updated fonts, as well as the date and time moved more towards the center of the screen. Icons that served as shortcuts to the application were replaced by colored bars over which we can find application names. After unlocking the phone, our attention will be given to new screen buttons, the appearance of which is now much simpler. Interestingly, you will be able to turn them off completely, and all thanks to the interface that has to be based on gestures. The list of open applications will now be displayed in a manner more familiar with Apple brand phones. Mianowice instead of a vertical list, we will gain a horizontal preview. From a practical point of view, we can consider this an advantage, because in this way more content is displayed, in individual application windows, and thus we have a larger preview of what we want to return to. In addition, a new notification panel, placing on the ubiquitous curved edges of the application. And finally dark interface mode! So something for which many waited. Finally, Samsung will begin to use the advantages of OLED matrixes to save energy. The update also affected system applications, i.e. dialer, messages, galleries, e-mail and Bixby among others. People who got bored with the current appearance of the camera application will also see something new.
Strong changes, it remains to wait …
It's nice to see that something changes. The interface in Koreans' smartphones is already known for several generations and has been able to bear. Big changes are a positive step, which will certainly please the majority of users. For example, a dark interface mode, which was missing from the very beginning. It's nice to know that we will not be forced to wait until the presentation of the new version of the overlay until the Samsung Galaxy S10 presentation, and we will get it along with Android Pie. It remains to be hoped that the update will appear later this year! source: XDA Developers
