LG Q8 (2018) is a new mid-range smartphone in the LG portfolio that supports stylus. This model is the successor of LG Q8, which was … a modified version of the flagship LG V20. This means that LG once again created a smartphone weaker than its predecessor, the price of which is not very attractive.
Do you still remember LG Q8? The smartphone debuted last year and was a slightly modified version of LG V20, the flagship of LG. Meanwhile, his successor debuted today, LG Q8 (2018) , which is really the next variant of the LG Q Stylus, which is like not looking at it from a mid-range smartphone.
Specification LG Q8 (2018)
Screen and stylus
LG Q8 (2018) display is 6.2 inches , Full HD + resolution (2160 × 1080) and 18: 9 aspect ratio – it's a FullVision panel, made in IPS technology. The screen is surrounded by relatively narrow frames, thanks to which it was possible to close it in a waterproof (IP68) housing with dimensions of 160.1 x 77.7 x 8.4 mm, so the space management is good.LG Q8 (2018) supports stylus . There is of course no such advanced features as the Galaxy Note series from Samsung, but LG has added some interesting solutions. Thanks to the stylus, you can write notes (also on the locked screen), edit images and convert parts of movies into animated GIF files. There was also a previously known function that reminds you of the lack of a stylus in his hideout, the ability to write on screen shots or a scanner that allows you to copy a document.
LG Q8 (2018) is responsible for the speed and smoothness of operation of Snapdragon 450 , which is SoC composed of octa-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked up to 1.8 GHz and Adreno 506 graphics system. It's quite a good unit for cheaper smartphones, but LG Q8 (2018) it is not cheap, which we will go to in a moment. In this place I would like to remind you that the first LG Q8 had 820 on board Snapdragon, so it was much, much stronger. This is another example of the LG smartphone, which has a weaker processor than its predecessor. The same is true of LG Q6 and LG Q7 or LG K8 (2017) and LG K9. Fortunately, this time it did not work with MediaTek MT6750S, and LG did not take the memory, as the LG Q8 (2018) has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of space for files .
Camera and audio features The new model has been trimmed from an additional wide-angle camera (135 degrees) compared to its predecessor. In LG Q8 (2018) there is only one camera, with a resolution of 16 MP. The wide-angle camera is a selfie camera (100 degrees), which has 5 MP. LG underlines that the LG Q8 (2018) is a multimedia smartphone and is supposed to be testified by music capabilities. Here, there is actually something to brag about, because the model has a dedicated DAC-to-DAC converter , supports DTS: X 3D Surround and has a 3.5 mm jack that has been forgotten by many. The rest of the specifications can be found in the table.

Price LG Q8 (2018)
The LG Q8 (2018) equipped in this way was valued at 539,000 won , which after a direct conversion gives us approx. 1700 PLN. It would not be a bad price, because the smartphone has several strengths, but the central unit used is definitely too weak – for this money, any system weaker than Snapdragon 630 is already a bit ashamed, and even more so would be Snapdragon 636. It's a pity that in the case of LG once again performance does not go hand in hand with the price . It is not known whether and when LG Q8 (2018) will go on sale in Poland. Source: LG
