Samsung Galaxy J6 2018 appeared in the first Polish store, which is a partner of the Samsung brand, thanks to which we got to know its price in the official distribution. The smartphone is clearly cheaper than the similarly equipped Galaxy A6, but is it enough for us to call the Galaxy J6 price attractive?
Samsung mid-adulters are too expensive
Recently , Samsung's position on the mobile market is weakening , including profits from the sale of mobile devices. Analysts believe that it is primarily the Galaxy S9 wine, which does not sell as well as the producer wanted. I would point out an additional factor, which in my opinion also makes Samsung have problems – of course I am talking about the absurd prices of medium and low-range phones . Examples? Galaxy A6 for PLN 1449 and Galaxy A6 + for PLN 1599 and in total nothing more is needed to confirm my hypothesis. However, I would not be myself if I did not mention Galaxy J2 (2018), which in Italy was valued at 169 euros, which gives us about 730 zlotys for a model with qHD screen, Snapdragon 425 and 1,5 GB of RAM. Now, to this merry, too highly priced group joined another model, which appeared in one of the Polish stores.
Polish price of the Galaxy J6 (2018)
Samsung Galaxy J6 is the only recently presented smartphone from the Galaxy J family (2018), whose introduction to Poland was announced by the local branch of the Samsung brand. The phone was supposed to appear in stores in July and it just happened.Samsung Galaxy J6 (SM-J600) appeared in the offer of the Electronics Euro Electronics House store , where it can be ordered in black , gold and [CST_9 ] lavender , although on the store's website there is information about the lavender – some new shade? 😉 In any case, the version sold in Poland has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory. The price of Galaxy J6 has been set at PLN 1149 , so it is PLN 300 cheaper than the similarly equipped Galaxy A6. Both models differ only in a few details – lower in the Galaxy J6 hierarchy has a darker lens, weaker selfie camera and according to the store there is neither FM nor NFC radio. There is no module used to contactless payments are a bit surprising, because Samsung Poland mentioned its presence in a press release. Perhaps this is a mistake on the part of RTV Euro AGD. I asked about it and when I get the answer, the entry will be updated. Is it worth paying extra to Galaxy A6 when there is a similar but cheaper Galaxy J6? Well, in my opinion, a 300 zloty difference is enough to save and choose the J series model, especially when it turns out that it has NFC. This does not mean, however, that it is worth buying any of these smartphones, because even the Galaxy J6 seems a little too expensive .
There is no shortage of competitors
Samsung Galaxy J6 is a phone with a roughly Galaxy J7 level (2017). The older model wins with a larger capacity battery (although the one in J6 is removable) and a higher screen resolution, but there is no Infinity panel with reduced frames, and less internal memory. However, it costs PLN 899 in the official distribution , so as a novelty Galaxy J6 could be more expensive from it by a maximum of 100 zlotys, not 250 zlotys.Of course, this is not the only competitor for the Galaxy J6. For similar money, we get Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Motki G6 or Motka X4 or Nokia 6.1, or even the older Galaxy A5 (2017), which has a more powerful processor, Full HD screen and metal housing (the Galaxy J6 is plastic). In this situation, I see no point in choosing the Galaxy J6, unless the replacement battery would be more important to me than all other features of the phone .
This is not the end of Samsung's new products
By the way, let me remind you that the Galaxy J6 is not the only novelty of Samsung, which recently went on sale in Poland. Details in the entry below (just click on the title): https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/862708/samsung-galaxy-s9-256-gb-gold-grey-cena-w-polsce/
