Can a two-year middle class smartphone be a good shopping choice in 2018? Contrary to appearances, the answer to this question is not so obvious, which made me aware of the great promotion on ASUS ZenFone 3 in the most powerful configuration.
A middle-person is more than a necessary evil
Once upon a time I created the text Smartphones middle class in 2015. What is it and what should it be? . I complained about it that average people are developing too slowly. Then it was a problem, because the average model in this category offered an HD screen, Snapdragon 410 and 1 GB. Poor, right? A year later, a small revolution began, which brought us such models as Sony Xperia M5, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), Alcatel Idol 4, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 or Huawei P9 Lite. These devices (and not only these) have announced the golden era of the average, which began to receive solutions used in flagships. They were also well made, and the components assembled in them ensure good and often trouble-free operation of the system. Progress has since followed the path of evolution. It is slow enough that you should still consider buying a two-year medium-sized smartphone, if it is offered at a good price. The best proof of this is ASUS ZenFone 3 , which has been very interesting.
Promotion on ZenFone 3
In the online store x-kom smartphone ASUS ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) in white is sold for 999 PLN . Importantly, this is a version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory , which is currently very rare .
It is worth to buy?
Yes, ASUS ZenFone 3 has a two-year internship on the account. However, despite appearances, he has nothing to be ashamed of against the background of similarly equipped competition. The heart of the smartphone is Snapdragon 625 – exactly the same processor, which is also installed in smartphones from 2018. Well, some models get a bit weaker Snapdragon 450. When it comes to memory, at this price it is difficult to find something more, and you can get less for it. I daresay that ZenFone 3 still has one of the best cameras on the phones for about 1000 zlotys . Even if the camera is optical stabilized (OIS). ASUS is also well-made, offers extensive communication facilities (unfortunately, outside of NFC) and even has USB type C, which is still not a standard.Only two things prove to the detriment of ZenFone 3. First, he ends his support . He already has Oreo, but Android P will not get it anymore and soon he will stop receiving security patches (although for now they are available quite regularly). Second, design – the frames around the screen are quite large and the display has a conservative 16: 9 aspect ratio. In this situation, I leave you to decide if I want to buy it 🙂
