About how the opponent of all kinds of protective covers for the phone got to like the Naturalcase from 3MK.
My smartphone adventure started with HTC Wildfire, but it's been long gone. First contact with Android and completely new possibilities, which I did not even think about before. I liked the system and the multitude of applications in Android Market made me stay with the Google system. Then came the jump on the Samsung Galaxy S. These were the times … The first AMOLED display – the impressions were indescribable. The smartphone was incomparable to its predecessor. He raised the bar high in the context of the quality of the displayed image. The camera offered incredible possibilities for those times. Detail, reproduction of colors – all this delighted. However, it was 8 years ago …Then I jumped on the HTC Evo 3D, which I remember great. Although he left a lot to be desired in terms of the quality of color reproduction, he had the WOW effect that no other device had. The following year I remained faithful to the brand and chose HTC One X, later appeared One X +, One M7, Galaxy S5, One M8, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Huawei P10 Black, Galaxy S8 +, and finished on Galaxy S9 +.
And then the glass appeared …
During all these years, until March this year, I was a follower of the principle "what the producer created is beautiful, so I will not be destroying the appearance by some case ". I remember that during the premiere of Samsung Galaxy S6 everyone was surprised that the Koreans finally reached for premium class materials. I was shocked by the presence of glass on my back. I wondered how it would endure the test of time. Putting down the phone in my imagination was associated with an explosion of cracks and damage. As it turned out, it was not that bad. I sold the phone after a year without any loss, but with microdracks, but only visible under strong light. Using the Galaxy S7, I received for tests HTC U Play, which was my next phone with glass backs. This time, however, it was a different color than always. From my first smartphone I became a supporter of the black version. HTC was blue and made me discover the glass again. Initial impressions were great. In the sun, a million colors and an amazing effect – unattainable on any other material. Unfortunately, along with U Play, on the surface of which every single grip on the phone caused ugly fingerprints, there was considerable irritation with the fact that the phone looks unsightly after a whole day and is unpleasantly kept in hand.Later came the sale of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and I bought the Galaxy S8 +. It was my first phone that had roundings on the front and back panels. Honestly – I've never been and I'm still not a fan of screen bends. In my opinion it does not improve the phone's grip in any way, and moreover, it bothers me, because to this day I happen to accidentally press one of the side panels.
I used the Galaxy S8 + for 9 months. One day an unpleasant surprise met me. I picked up the phone from the charging stand and saw the cracked glass in the bottom right corner. I could not find a logical explanation for this situation. The smartphone has never fallen before, the previous day was certainly full of value. As I put it back on the charger every day, nothing would indicate that it would damage itself. Of course, you must remember that the glass on the housing can break even some time after impact. I decided to go to the Samsung website, where I was asked to exchange PLN 200 for exchanging the panel. At the time, I understood that the case might make sense , because it might save me from unplanned expenses. As time has shown, the cracking of the S8 + housing has nothing to do with use. This battery was swollen, resulting in a glass break. Nevertheless, the aforementioned adventure left a distinct mark – now I look differently at the covers . I am still in favor of using phones in the form in which they were provided by the manufacturer. Nevertheless, due to the cost of possible repair, I am slowly convincing myself to consider the choice of the case. I would go for something that would not take my phone design, i.e. something like like 3MK NaturalCase , which will be reviewed soon after a few months of use on gsmManiaKu. Remember: if in the past you happen to drop your phone, it is worth spending a few dozen zlotys on a case, foil and other such solutions that may not provide 100% protection, but certainly increase the chance to save glass parts of your smartphone. What do you think about the covers and foils on the phone? Is it a necessary expense or an unnecessary accessory? [totalpoll id = "862532"]
