A few weeks ago, the Polish branch of this manufacturer invited to cooperate with Mr. Adam Nawałka , the manager of the Polish national football team. The idea was great, because the coach was positively received by the Poles, and the so-called the hype around our players was huge, as were expectations. Rubik instead of Fingers
After losing matches with Senegal and Colombia began complaining that our staff is too often playing in commercials, instead of training and preparing for the tournament. In my opinion this is not a valid argument, because first of all this is part of the sport, and secondly, such Cristiano Ronaldo can really play well, in the meantime spending 90 days a year on the set of advertising. Let's get things that are more important. One of the goals of such complaints was just Nawałka, and consequently also Samsung. On the social websites of Koreans there were comments complaining about the work of the manager of our team, and the controversy around him was not very conducive to the brand. Someone in the marketing department came to the conclusion that something must be done about it and it was decided to cut off the ambassador from Samsung .When I was browsing the Samsung Samsung website about 2 weeks ago, the main face of Galaxy smartphones, especially the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + flagship models, was Adam Nawałka. Now, on the same page, we can see Anja Rubik, another Samsung ambassador. The coach also disappeared from promotional banners in some stores and advertisements, broadcasted among others in TV. Recently, I had the opportunity to go near one of the authorized Samsung Brand Store stores and Anja Rubik also shone in it. Nawałek's selector has been separated from the mainstream of Samsung's flagship promotion.
Does it matter?
As you can see, marketing does not know pity – the ambassador must be well-known to clients, and the coach of our team is currently quite strongly criticized. For us, mania, this type of situation does not matter much – we evaluate the equipment, not the envelope around them. However, a typical customer who does not know much about smartphones and just wants to buy and use something, quite often draws attention to these types of nuances.
