Apple AirPods' handsets met with considerable interest from users, although at the same time they aroused numerous controversies. Oppo does not want to repeat the mistakes of the Cupertino concern, which will certainly succeed in one aspect – price.
The concept of wireless in-ear headphones is an idea that thanks to new technologies has proved easy to implement. Which does not mean that it's problem-free. Apple convinced about it, designing AirPods – an interesting concept that for many people turned out to be one big and endless trouble.
The price does not do miracles
Starting from the cosmic price, through such mundane activities as even the accidental loss of tiny fleas, on the cosmic prices of maintenance services – using this accessory, the Cupertino concern wanted to see how much money can be pulled from the brand's followers and admit that the experiment ended successful – the second generation of these headphones will be available soon. However, Oppo, who has just presented O-Free – wireless, in-ear "bubbles" that use Bluetooth technology, wants to compete with Apple . It will be the first model to use the new Qualcomm chipset for such devices with the number QCC3026. What can we expect? Above all, the larger range of the Bluetooth module as well as the higher quality of the transmitted sound, which undoubtedly can definitely speak for the new Oppo product.
Better energy management, but this … still not enough
Add to that much less energy consumption in accumulators, reduced by up to half, which will certainly prolong their operating time. This, however, does not mean that it will be impressive – the manufacturer says only about four hours , and the set will also find a special case that will allow you to charge the accessory three more times. In addition, the Oppo O-Free is designed to support aptX and Qualcomm TrueWireless Stereo technology, enabling fast pairing and providing better headphone stability. The headsets of the Chinese company are also supposed to offer something else, ie a low price – in free sale this set is to cost 108 dollars, or about 405 PLN.
Cheaper, but is it better?
That's about PLN 300 less than similar equipment from Apple, or headphones like Samsung Gear IconX (2018) or Jabra Elite 65t, which undoubtedly makes a difference. Oppo O-Free will be included in some of the more expensive editions of the company's smartphones, such as the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition for around $ 200. Let's hope that Oppo wireless bugs will be high quality equipment. Time will tell if really the first, sensible competitor of Apple will be able to present enough good equipment to be worth the interest. The premiere is in August. source: Slashgear
