LG has created a smartphone obsolete at the time of release. Here is LG X2 (2018)

The new LG X2 is a kind of smartphone from 2018, but looking at its specification and the installed version of Android, I have the impression that I came back to 2016. If only the price was right, then this model could be a nice choice, but almost 700 zlotys are a bit of an exaggeration.

Just a few years ago, LG was creating really decent average and low-budgeters, which we could even call "above-average" and it would be difficult to consider it a huge exaggeration. Not only did they offer a solid specification for reasonable money, but they also tempted (usually) the latest version of Android for the start. Unfortunately, those times have already passed and it is probably irretrievable, as suggested by the recently announced model LG X2 (2018) .

Android Nougat to start

Android Oreo was officially introduced to the market at the end of August last year, so it has been 10 months since its launch. It might seem like a long enough period for every smartphone presented today to have just Oreo, even the relatively cheap one. Unfortunately, the model LG X2 (2018) proves that it does not have to be so, because it works under the control of Android 7.1.2 Nougat .

Do not get me wrong – this is not just an attack on LG. Currently, any manufacturer that will launch a new smartphone with a system older than Oreo should get on the paws . I could let go if such a LG X2 (2018) cost some 300-400 zlotys, but of course it is noticeably more expensive (I will give you a price later).

Components do not do crazy either

LG X2 (2018) was equipped with a screen with a diagonal of 5-inches and HD resolution (1280×720) , which was made in IPS technology. Its energy efficiency is ensured by a 2500 mAh battery. Pictures can be taken with an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel camera located on the front and stored in a 16-gigabyte built-in memory, with the possibility of expanding it through a memory card. The heart of the LG X2 (2018) is the Qualcomm quad-band with 1.3 GHz. Unfortunately, LG does not say what unit it is, but I'm afraid it is Snapdragon 212 . Currently, it is an almost archaic processor, because it was made of old and free Cortex-A7 cores, which should go back to the past two years ago, and yet we can still find them in new smartphones. Even 2 GB of RAM will not make the LG X2 (2018) work really well.

I will add that there are still 3.5 mm jack connector, fingerprint reader , microUSB port, FM radio, 802.11 b / g / n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and LTE modem. All this was enclosed in a housing with dimensions of 144.8 x 71.9 x 8.2 mm and a weight of 152 g.

The price of LG X2 (2018) is not suitable

The LG X2 (2018) equipped in this way was priced at 198,000 South Korean wages, which, after a direct conversion, gives us approx. PLN 665 net . You will agree with me that it is too much – I would not choose this model, even if it cost 399 zlotys, because for this money I will get in the store even Motorola Moto E4 . One more thing at the end. If this model seems to be strangely familiar to someone, I am in a hurry to report that it is a twin LG K9, which we will get in Poland for at least PLN 500 . Source: LG
