The biggest problem for Samsung is the lack of Android updates on smartphones. Users of Galaxy S8 and Note 8 had to wait a very long time for Oreo to reach their devices. Fortunately, more models will get a new version of the system soon. What Galaxy gaming do you speak about?
How is this with the update of Samsung smartphones?
The largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world is reluctant to update their phones to the latest releases of Android. It does not matter if you're buying a flagship or a mid-priced model, you still have to wait a very long time for the latest system to arrive on board your smartphone. As a user of Galaxy Note 8 (and earlier Galaxy S8) I found out about it the hard way. The first version of Oreo for S8 hit the end of February, but as it soon turned out it was a problem update. Besides, the update number (CRAP) clearly indicated that it will be a failed version :). Jokes, of course, aside because Samsung quickly withdrew it and after about two weeks he issued a correction. Thus, users of E-cards could enjoy Android 8.0 until mid-March. Galaxy Note 8 was updated to Oreo a month later. As a reminder – the official version of Android 8.0 was premiered in October last year. You do not need to be familiar with mathematics to quickly count that it took up to 6-7 months for Samsung to issue the appropriate upgrade for its flagship models . Well, it should not be like that! It is also worth reminding that the manufacturer has made another incident also at the Galaxy S7. Users complained about frequent device restarts, which meant that this time the Korean giant was forced to stop the upgrade. All these problems have caused Samsung to get hit by users. However, something is starting to happen with the Korean smartphone manufacturer, because next models will get Oreo in the near future, and my model has received another update.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 gets another update in Poland
I just received a message about the availability of a new version of the system. As it turned out, the Koreans released the June security updates for the Galaxy Note 8 . The update is now available in Poland and can be downloaded using the OTA (Over The Air) channel. It is worth mentioning here that this is already the 4th update of Android Oreo for Galaxy Note 8. Finally, I start to like how the manufacturer approaches this matter. The new version of the system weighs 564 MB, so before downloading it would recommend using a Wi-Fi network. No new stunning features have been introduced here, while the level of security has been improved.
This is not the end of good news
According to the latest reports, most likely in the next weeks Koreans plan to issue updates for subsequent smartphones. According to the Turkish representatives of the company, on July 6, users of such Samsung Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 will be able to enjoy Oreo on their cells, and on July 13 Oreo will get Galaxy J3 (SM-J330F), Galaxy J5 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro. Of course, the software will be made available gradually, so not everyone will receive it at the same time. Users of branded smartphones will have to be patient. It is also worth remembering that we are talking about Turkey, not Poland, so in our country we will probably wait a little longer. We had to wait a long time to see Oreo on the smartphone of the Korean manufacturer. What is nevertheless happy is that something seems to change in this matter. I do not want to cheat, but I hope that when upgrading to Android P will be better than it did with version 8.0 Oreo. Source: PhoneArena own study
