Despite the refreshed look, smartphones from the Xperia XZ2 family do not sell well. Is this a good time to launch a new model for sale? Sony thinks that it probably, because he is preparing a smartphone Xperia XZ3 (or Xperia XZ2s), which poses in the first pictures.
Cutting, cutting and cutting again
The Japanese giant is looking for savings wherever he can. A few weeks ago we learned that the weather application from Sony will not be developed anymore, but yesterday I informed you that Sony abandoned the further development of Xperia Home. The overlay on the Android operating system from the Japanese manufacturer will not get more new features. It is also possible that newer models will work on pure Android straight from Google. Sony cuts costs, but still wants to launch new Xperia smartphones. There are photos of the next model from the Japanese.
Was Sony preparing the Xperia XZ2 successor?
Photos showing a new smartphone are quite good quality. The front of the device is very similar to the one we know from the current flagship from Sony, namely the Xperia XZ2 . What distinguishes the leak model from XZ2 is on the back of the device. In the picture we can see two eyelets of the camera , which can not be found in existing Sony phones except the Xperia XZ2 Premium. A few minor differences make us think that this is a new phone. For now, we do not know how the Japanese giant plans to name a new smartphone, but we can assume that it will be Xperia XZ2s or Xperia XZ3 . Personally, I would rather prefer XZ2s, but both options are equally likely.
What about the rest of the specification?
On this topic, we do not have much information yet. I bet that Sony will mount the same dual camera that we find in the Xperia XZ2 Premium, so one of the units will be monochrome. The rest of the technical specification will remain unchanged, so the standard smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 , aided graphics system Adreno 630 . Quietly I hope that the new model will also get more RAM, because 4 GB in 2018 is not enough. In addition, we will probably get 64 or 128 GB of built-in memory, which can be expanded using micro SD cards. I do not know what to think about so many refreshes in a year. On the one hand, Sony has already got used to the fact that every 6 months a new flagship goes on sale. On the other hand, I remember the times when I used the Xperia Z3 myself. I wanted to enjoy the fact that I have the flagship model of the producer. I have the impression that Sony does not want to let its fans enjoy this fact any longer. Either way, we will probably find out a little bit more about the new Xperia soon, and for now only wait. Source: PhoneArena
