Lenovo Z5 officially presented in China – we know its appearance, price and specification. The manufacturer suggested that it will be a real smartphone without frames, and the rumors ensured the top specification. The reality turned out to be different – the Lenovo Z5 is a good medium with a notch in the screen.
For several weeks, the network was very loud about the Lenovo Z5 . The producer clearly suggested that it would be a breakthrough product with a screen occupying the vast majority of the front of the phone – it was even said about the screen-to-body ratio at the level of 95%. This also meant the presence of new technologies and top specifications, or at least everyone wanted them. Meanwhile, reality has not lived up to expectations and Lenovo Z5 is not as good a smartphone as we all thought.
Large screen with cutout and bottom frame
Let's start with the fact that the Lenovo Z5 is not a real frameless device and it lacks much to Vivo APEX / NEX. The latest smartphone from the Chinese is another phone on the market, which in its appearance refers to the iPhone X, so at the top of the screen we find a characteristic notch. In addition, there is a chin , or a clear frame under the display. Nothing new – the LG G7 ThinQ or Xiaomi Mi 8 look the same, although for me the Lenovo Z5 resembles Huawei P20 the most. The screen itself has a diagonal of 6.2 " , Full HD + resolution (2246 x 1080) and a 19: 9 aspect ratio, it has been made in IPS technology and is illuminated with a maximum brightness of 500 cd / m2. the display occupies about 90% of the front, but this is not true, the exact dimensions are 153 × 75.65, so in reality the screen-to-body ratio is around 83% .
Components. Very good … average
When everyone thought that the Lenovo Z5 will be the flagship, in fact the smartphone is a medium – good but still average. His heart is Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with the Adreno 509 graphics chip, supported by 6 GB RAM. The SoC used is satisfactory and enjoys its growing popularity in mid-range smartphones – we can find it in such models as Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 or ASUS ZenFone 5.
Lenovo Z5 – price and availability
Lenovo Z5 may not be as good a smartphone as we all thought, but it's quite an interesting medium (with a very fashionable and well-worn appearance), which is offered for a reasonable price. The Chinese Lenovo Z5 prices are as follows:
- 64 GB version in black – 1299 yuan (about 740 PLN net),
- 64 GB version in other colors – 1399 yuan (about 800 zlotys net),
- 128 GB version – 1799 yuan (about 1025 PLN net).
Unfortunately, it is not known whether or not the Lenovo Z5 will leave the domestic market of the manufacturer. In Poland, the phone will not appear, because Lenovo has withdrawn its own brand from our country, leaving only Motorola.
