Information about two new Xiaomi models came to the network. Both will be powered by Snapdragon 710 and have screens made in OLED technology. Is Snapdragon 710 a good processor?
After presenting to the world a great Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S and before the debut of Xiaomi Mi 7 and BlackShark, the network received information about two consecutive smartphones from this manufacturer, which will soon hit the market. One of them may be Xiaomi Mi Note 4.
Xiaomi Comet and Xiaomi Sirius
Two new Xiaomi smartphones have been marked with such code names, which will hit the market in the coming months. Already at the moment we know their almost full specification, which is unusual even in these times. Usually, their meeting takes a long time – and here I am, everything on the tray. Without prolonging, let's look at these models.
|The code name||Xiaomi Comet||Xiaomi Sirius|
|System||Android 8.1 Oreo||Android 8.1 Oreo|
|Screen||OLED from AlwaysON||OLED with AlwaysON and notes|
|Additional||IR, DualSIM, no NFC, no memory cards||IR, DualSIM, no NFC, no memory card, portrait mode in the camera|
|Battery||3100 mAh||3120 mAh|
At first glance, it can be seen that this is a smartphone from the upper mid-range, offering very similar performance to last year's flagships. If you wonder what these models may be, then I must admit that I have no idea at the moment. I have one type, but a bit later. No surprise is the presence of Android 8.1 Oreo. In this category, Xiaomi surprises with an IR diode that will be used to operate the devices at home – a small improvement that costs almost nothing, and makes life easier. Unfortunately, the specification also reveals serious shortcomings. Xiaomi Comet and Sirius will be without a slot for memory cards and NFC. A small consolation here is DualSIM, although it is rather the standard of this manufacturer. Of course, the OLED screen is a big plus. Let's take a closer look at the new processor that will drive these models.
Snapdragon 710 is a great processor
If you're wondering why Snapdragon 670 does not tell you anything, I'm explaining. You will surely associate the Snapdragon 670 system – I wrote more about it in the following entry. It's exactly the same unit – only under a different name . Qualcomm probably came to the conclusion that it is time to jump in naming. In fact, looking at its possibilities, it seems reasonable. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/789882/snapdragon-670-specyfikacja-2/ Snapdragon 710 for sure we will see regularly in the strongest medium, whose price (unfortunately) will be dangerously close to the flagships. The power will surely not lack him – hardly anyone needs something more productive. At the beginning I mentioned that I have one type – it's time to explain it.
Is this Mi Note 4?
Here some information ends, it's time for my guess. I have reviewed and analyzed the offer of Xiaomi and I think that it is very complete. Introducing new smartphones is possible, but in my opinion not so likely. So I think that one of the Comet and Sirius models is the Xiaomi Mi Note 4 . This device fits perfectly into the specifications you have just read – also in terms of performance. Many users were disappointed that the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has a "weak" processor, which is Snapdragon 660. I disagree with it, because thanks to this from the very beginning its price was much lower than the flagships. However, I have no idea what the second option may be – the differences between them are minimal. I have two theories on this subject. The number one theory – the screen size is different (this is more likely, although the size of the battery seems to undermine it). The number two theory – Xiaomi will prepare the same smartphone in the version with and without notes (less probability and lots of happy users). Source: XDA
