The partial specification and capacity of Samsung Galaxy J8 and Galaxy J8 + batteries went to the network. AMOLED screens will also be on board. Is it worth to buy the Samsung Galaxy J 2018?
Samsung middlemen so far stood out from the competition. They were not the cheapest, but they offered the advantages of the AMOLED screen in the price shelf for around 1000 zlotys. In 2018 it is still a rarity, and in more expensive models (which are not Samsung) OLED displays can be sought with a candle. While this advantage should not disappear from the new smartphones from the J series, another aspect may disappoint us.
Samsung Galaxy J8 2018: specification
We used to require the most from the average. This statement may seem strange, because this flagship should be the most advanced. However, the market is constructed in such a way that the most demanding users are those who buy middle class . Will such a buyer have something to look for in a Korean stable in 2018? It will not be bad. The heart of the smartphone will be Exynos 7870 . This is Samsung's proprietary chip, which at the 1.6 GHz level is more or less equivalent to Snapdragon 450. The Plus version in the name will also be available on the market, which will work on Snapdragon 625. Efficiency in everyday work will be sufficient, but in the perspective of several years of use will probably give up more graphically demanding games. Support in multitasking is to provide 3 GB of RAM memory. This is expected and expected amount, although you have to honestly admit that in the price shelf for about 1000 zlotys (and I think that Samsung models will be priced a little higher) you can easily find devices equipped with an additional gigabyte. On the other hand, it's in vain to look for AMOLED screens – something, for something.
Cheap Samsung with a frameless screen?
The information I found on the web suggests that one of the models has a 6-inch screen . Such dimensions seem to suggest that the 18: 9 ratio will also go to the cheapest Samsung models. Huawei and Honor had promised some time ago that they would no longer make smartphones according to the "old school" – Koreans are following in their footsteps. A smaller model will also be created, with a diagonal of 5.5 inches (probably the Samsung Galaxy J8 2018). These are good decisions – with a new proportion, even a cheap smartphone can have compact dimensions. It seems to me, however, that it will not be as visually attractive device as the Samsung Galaxy S9. This can be seen, for example, after the Samsung Galaxy A8, which is hard to call a frameless one. Here, the beams can be even thicker.
The batteries can disappoint us
According to what I found, the batteries will not be thrilling. The smaller model, equipped with a 5.5-inch screen, will have a 3000 mAh cell. It's not as little as current standards. So why is it considered in the category of disappointment ? Because the predecessors were famous for their iron resistance to discharge. It is a pity that Samsung wants to give up one of the greatest advantages of its average people. It will be slightly better for the 6-inch Galaxy J8 +. An additional 500 mAh will, however, be compensated by a larger screen.
Is it worth buying a cheap Samsung?
Everything suggests that yes – if they are actually cheap. This happens differently, but in the context of the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A6, it seems that their prices should not exceed PLN 1,100 and 1,300 (respectively J8 and J8 +). In this amount AMOLED screens are always a big advantage over competitors. Efficiency seems sufficient, and the small disadvantages look like the biggest disadvantage.
