The update is not as beautiful as we all expected. Indeed, the Chinese have made users a surprise at the end of last year, but it turns out that the manufacturer had to withdraw the upgrade to Android Oreo for smartphone Mi A1.
Xiaomi Mi A1 is really a decent piece of electronics – for all this device is usually available at an affordable price. The Chinese use the "pure Android" model in this model, which you may like or not, but for me it is definitely a great alternative to the overloaded MIUI overlays. Even before the new year, as promised, Xiaomi has released an update to Android Oreo for the Mi A1 model. Now it turns out that almost two weeks after this practice, the Chinese producer decided to withdraw files from the official distribution. Where does this decision come from? This is not known until the end, and various sources give contradictory information. On the official forum Xiaomi users rather "sit quietly" and do not penetrate into the status of an update, and in Reddit several threads are even besieged by the owners of Mi A1, who also want to find out what happened with the update to Android Oreo. In general, the case breaks down that the possibility of updating the smartphone "evaporated" from notifications. If you could have already seen a special window with the changelog and information about this update, so now when you try to search for updates there is nothing … nothing. A strange situation. https://www.gsmmaniak.pl/763236/xiaomi-mi-a1-test-recenzja/ Now you can only wonder why the Chinese decided to withdraw the update – it's also hard to assess what the scale of the problem is exactly, it is very possible that notification it disappeared only for some users. Personally, it seems to me that it is simply about errors and possible holes in the software, which has not been tested until the end of OTA files. I can of course be wrong, but in most cases when the manufacturer decides to opt out of the upgrade, the issue is just about a bigger or smaller problem. At the moment, it is also not known when Android Oreo for Xiaomi MI A1 will be restored to a stable update channel. If you have not succeeded in installing the latest version of the robot, then unfortunately you will have to be patient. Maybe it is, however, better considering what problems could occur? One of Reddit users comments that at the beginning after installation everything worked great, and now he must restart the smartphone at least once a day to be able to use it. If you have Oreo on your Mi A1, let me know. I am curious to know how this update works immediately after being made available by Xiaomi. Source: MIUI Forum / Reddit r / Mi
