iPhones that will appear in 2018 will receive more capacious batteries. We also know what sizes we can expect. How much you would like to say … finally!
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities once again sent a note to investors with speculations about next year's smartphones with the logo of a bitten apple. Kuo is a very prolific speculator since last year. It is worth adding that most of his predictions actually worked. This time, the analyst claims that Apple is already working with the Korean company LGC on a single battery in the shape of the letter "L". The iPhone X is the first smartphone to receive an L-shaped battery. However, after undressing the smartphone, we learned that these are actually two separate batteries that were connected to each other for the operation of the device. In 2018, a similar solution would appear in two iPhones. According to Kuo, the 5.8-inch iPhone in 2018 could get one battery with a capacity of 2900-3000 mAh. A larger model, i.e. a 6.5-inch one, would have two batteries connected together with a total capacity of 3300-3400 mAh. Interestingly, the third model with LCD display and 6.1-inch diagonal would receive a rectangular battery with a capacity of 2850-2950 mAh. In this case, Apple would be guided by a reduction in costs, because the aforementioned variant would ultimately be a cheaper solution. For comparison – the iPhone X with two batteries currently has 2716 mAh. We are talking here only and by 10% increase in relation to this year's model. Nevertheless, with the new Apple A12 chip, certainly the working time of the smartphone could be extended by at least a few dozen minutes.Source: Apple Insider
