Look and quality of workmanship
Smartwatch looks like Samsung Galaxy Gear S3. The device is rather thick, so it has little chance of being fitted under the cuff of a male shirt. The equipment is well made and feels solid. I have only the loosely locked button for unlocking. The strap is attached to a strap that, according to the manufacturer, is made of natural leather . Two color versions are available: graphite with black stripe and silver with bronze. The whole weighs 78 grams in daily use is not a burden on the hand. The front of the watch covers a 1.3-inch screen made with IPS technology . The display is covered with glass, but I have not been able to determine who is behind it. At the bottom of the smartwatch we will find a pin charging connector, a heart rate monitor and a nanoSIM card slot. The strip itself is of decent quality. Makes a very good impression, but I'm afraid that he will wipe and poorly withdrew contact with moisture and then – for example, when running. The watch itself is splash proof and complies with IP65 . He should experience contact with the rain or wash his hands, but for activities such as washing or shower I would strongly recommend to take it off.
The device is based on the dual-core MediaTek MTK6572 CPU supported by 1 GB of RAM. The user files are allocated 8 GB. Pretty good parameters, like the smartbook. The device supports Bluetooth version 4.0 and WiFi. What's more, the gadget is "armed" with the Android operating system – only version 4.4, but always. The computer detects the device like any other Android device. To do this , you need to have FunFit , which is downloaded when you scan the QR code that appears on the dial. The application itself may not be the nicest, but it does its job. It is clear, but unfortunately I did not find in the options of the Polish language. I can hook up mostly to fragments that are not translated from Chinese. I have managed to pair with all the Android smartphones I have had. Each one was equipped with at least Android version 6.0. Unfortunately I did not have any iOS device. According to the watch manufacturer will work with any phone based on Android 4.3 or iOS version 7.0 (and up). Smartwatch offers the ability to hold phone calls, but keep it close to your mouth – the quality of the microphone is not engrossing. With it we can also send an SMS or even an email message . We can also browse the internet, but for obvious reasons it is very uncomfortable. Thanks to smartwatch we can even take pictures because it offers a shutter button when paired with the phone. It is also possible to control the music player.Of course, the device offers all the basic functions like stopwatch, timer and alarm clock . Heart rate measurement and a well-functioning compass are also available. I encountered an interesting problem. After installing the application on the phone, the notification light on my private Lenovo K6 Power began to glow with continuous light. It did not matter if the watch was paired with the phone or not.
As I mentioned, the circular display has a diameter of 1.3 inches and works at a resolution of 360 by 360 pixels. At first glance, I do not see single pixels, and the quality of the screen I would describe as good in this shelf. The panel is below the frame that surrounds it, which should have a good impact on the structural resistance to impact or falls. We have 22 tops to choose from, so everyone should find something for themselves – from sports to pretty classic, although the latter does not match the overall look of the device. I can praise the quality of the glass used because after the test period no scratches appeared on it. The touch response is very good and I have no objections to it. Readability in the bright sun is average. It could be better, but there is no tragedy. The screen can be counted plus .The device has a light sensor , so it automatically adjusts the brightness to the prevailing lighting conditions. However, it must be borne in mind that this negatively affects battery life. Which and without which I can not count on plus.
The built-in rechargeable battery has a capacity of 500 mAh and according to the manufacturer should be sufficient for 120 hours in standby mode. During the night (22-8am) when the equipment was completely unused, the charge rate decreased by 10%. On the one hand it's a lot, but more or less the same with the manufacturer's assurances. Charging takes about 75 minutes and is done with the included USB cable. Unfortunately, smartwatch in no way informs that it is already charged. The one-time charge in my tests allowed me to work half a business day when the smartwatch was paired with the phone and received a notification. It's definitely not enough for this type of device. When I used the gadget as a normal watch and pedometer, the result was extended to about 2.5 days.
Summary and evaluation
Equipment can be purchased for just over 330 zł, although there are also oscillating offers around 80 USD. As I mentioned in the beginning, smartwatch is available in Chinese stores: geekbuying.com and Gearbest and of course on manufacturer's website . I can not stick to quality workmanship. The equipment is quite elegant. The only thing that deserves a small minus is the large thickness of the device. The only downside is the fact that some menu options are rendered poorly or not at all. A similar problem affects a dedicated application. At such a price it is a device I could recommend if it were not for the battery life . Half day on a single charge is not enough – in my eyes does not compensate for this even a nice display and rich functionality.[temperature2 product_id = "22402" hide_temperatura = "true"]
