Sony will offer great sound quality on wireless handsets with LDAC technology. What is LDAC and when can we expect it on Xperia smartphones?

More and more manufacturers are choosing to remove the headphone connector on their headphones. In this situation, the quality of wireless headphones is becoming more and more important. So it's time for new music software for your phone without having to install additional applications. Qualcomm aptX has already written about similar technology from Qualcomma. Now the competition wants to be Sony, which has its own technology called LDAC. With the launch of Android Oreo, the solution will hit the Xperia smartphone.

I am not an audiofile, so I will not go into the engineering – acoustic aspects of technology, because the most important thing is to get users. According to Sony, their technology offers better, less lost sound quality than the Qualcomm solution mentioned above. In short, the Sony LDAC transmits more data than competing Bluetooth solutions. According to Sony engineers, it is not possible to distinguish high quality audio files from those that use the potential of LDAC technology. In my opinion the most important information from this data is the fact that more and more manufacturers will drop out of the headphone jack. I think that's good – doubling the capabilities of the USB-C connector is unnecessary for me. I'm not convinced about listening to music while charging my device – I have been on the phone for over 10 years and never felt that need. I believe that resigning from cables is the future and I will not cry for jack jacks. Is the presence of the headphone connector an important element to which you return when it is selected?
