ASUS officially confirmed which ZenFone smartphones will receive an update to Android O. The manufacturer also reported that he severely limited the number of pre-installed applications in the new version of the ZenUI overlay.
On the occasion of yesterday's launch of ZenFone 4 smartphones, ASUS has revealed which phones can count on an update to Android O. These are:
- The whole series of ZenFone 3 (will also get ZenUI 4.0),
- The entire ZenFone 4 series (ZenUI 4.0 available at start).
Quick, clear and clear. Unfortunately, when it comes to terms, the manufacturer has not given specific dates for particular models. We only know that updates will be available gradually, and all eligible models will get a new Android for the second half of 2018 .At the same time, ASUS also talked about ZenUI 4.0 , the new version of the original system overlay. The manufacturer has worked up a little over optimizing for the most popular programs to launch as quickly as possible. The number of preinstalled applications (so called bloatware ) has been reduced, and only 13 of them have ZenUI (earlier 35, and in the past even more). There are also new features such as Twin Apps (dual applications, two accounts at the same time) and Page Marker (bookmark application). Source: ASUS
