A partial specification of the Xiaomi Mi 6C model leaked into the network. It turns out that the Chinese want to put the second generation of their own processor as soon as possible.
Xiaomi Mi 5C was the first Chinese manufacturer's smartphone to appear with its proprietary Surge S1 processor. The fact that Xiaomi is developing another generation of Surge has been known for some time. This time we learned that this type of system can hit the Mi 6C . However, it does not share much of the Surge S1 mentioned above. Surge S2 is to be a processor that will use eight cores with different clock frequencies: four will operate at 2.8 Ghz and the other four at 1.8 Ghz. The Surge S1 was built in 28 nanometers, but the S2 is expected to be a big leap – this time Xiaomi will set it at 16 nanometers. For the Xiaomi Mi 6C specification we can expect two variants of smartphone: one of 4 and the other of 6 GB of RAM . You can also add up to 128 gigabytes of memory to your data (here I suppose Xiaomi will bet on such a big bone). Price leaks tell you that the Mi 6C will be priced at $ 300 with 4GB of RAM and $ 370 with 6GB of RAM. Unfortunately, until now we do not know much about the rest of the specs of this smartphone – we will know this data in the near future. I'm just curious how the Surge S2 will come out in benchmarks and compared to the competition. Source: Weibo
