Apple enters the AR market. IPhone 8 will offer a 3D Laser system for use in extended reality.
Apple is trying to enter the market of expanded reality with the launch of the iPhone 8. A new sensor called "3D Laser" and is supposed to be on the back of the device. The source speaks of "one of the new iPhones," but it seems likely that this is the most expensive model he has ever received. The sensor itself offers better depth detection in extended reality applications but will also be used by the camera module as a more accurate and faster type of autofocus. This type of focus is not new to the Asus Zenfone 3. Currently, smartphones from Apple offer another type of autofocus – the Focus Pixels phase detection system , which was introduced alongside the iPhone 6 in 2014. Clearly, it is time for change. According to the leak, AR 's iPhone system will be on board this year's iPhone 8 or 2018 models. It all depends on the Cupertino company's engineers, but I think everyone in Apple is keen to make AR debut in their jubilee device. Do you think that the expanded reality will be of use in everyday use of the phone, or will it remain merely a curiosity? Source: macrumors
