Google has released a security update report. It appears that the current security has few devices. Interestingly, the best in this comparison is Samsung.
Google has been updating its Android code regularly for about two years, fixing security bugs every month. Manufacturers can and should update their devices in the same way, but so far no one has forced them to do so. The new Google report shows which devices can boast up to date security updates – the list is not too long. The latest security updates have been provided by Google for the following smartphones and tablets:The list consists of just 42 devices . Although I do not think they are literally all models with current patches, but without a doubt, the majority (the report does not include unofficial software). This is weak, especially since the summary refers to the patches made available in the last 60 days. When we add another 30 days, the number of devices will increase to around 100. The quick glance at the report shows that the best update is managed by Samsung , which is responsible for 14 items, that is up to 1/3 devices in the list. Other manufacturers do average on hedgehogs or poorly. Perhaps the situation will improve when Google launches Treble, but we will see it in the future. Do your smartphones boast the latest security patches? My Honor 4X unfortunately did not. Source: Google
