Modern smartphones can not only be efficient – it must also be nice. But as our TOP-30 shows a nasty and weird phone, not every manufacturer remembered it …
We regularly publish maniacal lists of best smartphones, we also advise which phones are worth buying now. Such "topki", however, has not been with us for a long time. This time we decided to collect in one place devices that stand out only by one – they are extremely strange. Some of our proposals can be protected with unique functionality, but most are technological monsters whose existence is hardly justified. Well, maybe apart from one – thanks to them we could create a list of 30 ugliest phones in the world!
30. Sony Ericsson Jalou F100i
What could we open up to our juxtaposition, not a flip phone? Although the Jalou F1001 itself is a good performer and is not large, the whole construction has put a nasty luminaire. As if this equipment was designed with Dolce & Gabbana, but it ran out of balance and taste , so that the phone looks just awkward.
29. Nokia 3650
Maybe the look of the Nokia 3650 as a solid is not the worst – it's still a handy device that you can easily handle. Or perhaps it would have been if a curiosity, a circular keyboard, with ergonomics had absolutely nothing to do. This solution resembles old telephones where the number had to be dialed. There is no turning back, and the whole thing does not look right.
28. Motorola RIZR Z10
Next to the Nokia 3650 phone, which apparently looks quite normal. At least until we slide the whole structure back – such a piece made of metal because the world has not seen for a long time . Extremely heavy and ergonomic, and at the same time – a little too battered and looking at times in a crook. This product of the Motorola world has not conquered …
27. Hummer HT2
It's impossible not to get the impression that the designers of the cars (nomen omen, really nice!) Had probably two days off between the creation of the next four-wheelers concept and decided to present equipment that should not be in the hands of brand lovers. Although the look of the phone is as harsh as the cars, it's … no, it does not look good, although we would not have tried this model out.
26. JCB Tough Phone
Robust phones for active people are a popular market segment. However, looking at how the Tough Phone branded by the popular excavator manufacturer looks like, I am surprised that the idea of their further development has not been dropped. Probably, this device is practically impossible to destroy, but what if it visually we are dealing with a greasy monster . I'm not saying that resistant phones need to look stylish, but as the example of the recently tested GoClever Q3220 Rugged is tested, it might be better.
25. Sagem my401c
Flip phones are a recent exotic – and while many are demanding the return of these neat and useful devices, looking at the Sagema product is worth asking yourself: can it be good? Unfortunately my401c is hardly a nice product – it's a top-notch design , additionally loaded with unnecessary metal additives.
24. Alcatel Mandarina Duck
It is no accident that flip phones so often appear in this set – devices of this type are a gratifying theme for every designer. Although it is not always worth to let go of the imagination. The best example is the Alcatel Mandarina Duck, a phone that – for some unknown reason – refers to the duck . Thanks to that we have equipment with the head of the pet on the back and bizarre patterns on the flip. To this all come the glowing colors of the case and the ball, which in the whole design can not fit in any way.
23. Vertu Signature Cobra
The road and looking absolutely absurd – this is the Vertu Signature Cobra. Its price was more than 300 thousand dollars, thanks to the use of diamonds, rubies and emeralds. But above all, it is attracted by the cobra – a snake that bundles this bizarre structure. It is impossible to hide that the phone looks like a fairy tale of a thousand and two nights. Because in the canons of the first 1001 definitely not fit.
22. Samsung P300
The P300 is a phone that can be placed on a school desk instead of a calculator – probably no one would guess that using this system you can call, send text messages or browse the internet. The P300 is a remarkable piece of equipment, but it is worth mentioning that its specifications once were really not bad.
21. Toshiba G450
By writing this text I have long considered what the "lyrical subject meant" in the G450 case. This is a dubious beauty wonder, which was based on three circles – the first one is the LCD screen, the other two – allegedly comfortable keyboard. All this in a nasty, thick case that does not resemble a classic phone. This is clearly an unsuccessful experiment of Toshiba – apparently designers of the Japanese giant should more often take a break …
20. Pantech Curitel GA400b Identity
The easiest way to describe this system is as a mobile phone after a hammer lift, turned upside down – nothing more creative does not come to mind. Pantech's production has already subscribed to the industry annals – because who would have a good idea to put the keyboard above the screen? It is absolutely illogical, impractical and totally detached from reality. But at least there is a place in history, it's probably the most important thing.
19. Vodafone 904SH
Classic folding phones – just a brick what is it and probably one of the strangest phones that the popular mobile operator Vodafone has released under its brand. Straighteners without style and presence.
18. Nokia SURV1 Concept
Here is a phone that – if it appeared – could be the perfect cord to wear on a leash. Although this does not seem a bizarre solution, once a must have been a mustache for a leash. Here we have a touch screen in a custom-sized housing. I do not know why this device was invented – maybe someone in Nokia was very bored.
17. Au Design Neon
Another flip phone – this time it looks more like a lady's rectangular envelope, just a bit smaller. I just do not know why the name of the word was the word Design – after all, this hardware has absolutely nothing to do with it.
16. Telson TWC 1150
Smartwatch Protoplast? With all due respect, but Apple Watch and Samsung Gear could be offended – the Telson TWC 1150 is a device that tried to be everyone – watch, phone and camera in one. And unfortunately it did not work out well in any of the cases – not only that the whole project looks simply dramatic, it was still technically incompetent in terms of technical specifications. Better webcams placed in 10-year-old laptops make better recordings …
15. Samsung Serene
A flip phone that you can not miss in this overview. Interestingly, Bang & Olufsen has been working on this product. Meanwhile, we are dealing with a device that resembles folding mirrors , and the whole is complemented by absolutely ridiculous keyboard, which is handled by the thumb and it is rotating. Finesse Summit and Samsung's true magnum opus.
14. GoldVish 'Le Million' Piece Unique
The very name of this system tells us that it will be really interesting. And it is – Le Million actually cost more than a million (dollars), and in return we get a diamond-lined housing. And that the buttons can barely be distinguished from the rest of the housing? Who would care? And so the equipment will probably land in an armored display case …
13. Nokia 888 Concept
The screenshots are an idea that was created many years ago – for the presentation of the concept of the phone – the folding screen with the curtain of the screen, of course Nokia. From the concept, however, rather little. And probably well, because looking at the quality of this screen on the material published on the network well, I would rather not use this equipment.
12. Virgin Lobster
Virgin Lobster could be a very interesting phone, for one reason, for one reason – it gave access to mobile TV. Unfortunately, somebody made a fundamental mistake by putting a button to watch television in a completely pointless place. The button could be located anywhere – not just on the side of the screen. But why…
11. Samsung Cleo
The Serene model was not the only attempt to raise the hearts of women looking for a stylish flip phone. This trend has also continued with the Cleo model and – I will not divorce long enough – it went even worse. The only advantage of this product was the small screen on the flip – the rest is a set of completely nonsensical technological solutions.
10. Siemens Xelibri
Here is a brief history of the phone, which surprised even the manufacturer himself – Siemens introduced this device for sale, held in stores for a dozen days and quickly retreated. Looking at this product does not bother me at all, because I really can not find the deeper logic in the behavior of designers of this gadget.
9. Compulab Exeda
Here is a phone that tried to skilfully craft BlackBerry devices – unfortunately, it did not work, and the whole project spectacularly plunged the keyboard into such a size that only a few months old could handle it . The small buttons, combined with the small intervals between the keys, made writing error-free SMS just a miracle.
8. Æ + Y
Elegant watch straps will always find their amateurs – the watch-strap phones are no longer necessary. Apparently, the designers of the bizarre hardware called Æ + Y came out with another idea, presenting us with a bracelet-shaped phone . So far, I can not figure out what key the keyboard makers were leading to this miracle by putting the keys together …
7. Motorola Flipout
Kind of interesting patent, but in practice – completely useless. I know that "convergence" is a very popular word lately, but definitely not in that context. Flipout is a tiny 2.7-inch screen smartphone that has a keyboard, but to expose it, it had to come out of the screen in a very weird way. Just as if we fired a Zippo lighter – it was not a good idea …
6. Nokia 7380
Lipstick? Blurred pendrive? Because certainly not the phone. The Nokia 7380 is a very weird attempt to experiment with the slogan "minimalism" and, unfortunately, is completely unsuccessful. There is no keyboard here, the display is microscopic, and the housing definitely did not make a good impression here. It's a phone that would be difficult to distinguish from the rest of the cosmetic equipment when you put it in a ladies handbag. No, this is not a compliment.
5. Nokia 7600
In spite of the great sentiment of the Nokia brand, there is much talk about the fact that, in our list of the weirdest and best phones, the producers of this manufacturer appeared five times. The last of these – the 7600 is a key-shaped phone. Small, with a small color screen and an absolutely impractical keyboard covering the screen. People with big toes would sooner or later send this message to the trash, rather than try to write a text message. This gadget has so much charm in Tamagotchi.
4. Motorola StarTAC Rainbow
My eyes, my eyes hurt! Such a color and color feather I have never seen before – Motorola probably looked too much for a rainbow and presented us color equipment for pain. And you know what is most paradoxical? It was one of the more popular flip phones. How any miracle? This is not even the oldest highlanders …
3. Samsung NPH-N270 Matrix
The filmmakers of the "Matrix" saga have paid tribute to the great works of the Wachowski brothers in a variety of ways – what Samsung has invented beyond any limits . The stylized universal phone has a huge (and in practice – hopeless) speaker and curiosity decorations on the sides of the phone. Even if I was a huge fan of Matriks, I would not buy such a quirk.
2. Haier P7
The Haier P7 is a phone that can be easily described as a "slim pilot" or "overheard pen" – narrow, with a tiny screen, a strangely placed keyboard, and a rather strange ergonomy of use. Fortunately, Haier has started to produce more sensible-looking equipment, but it's worth remembering that the P7 also came out on the market. And in a completely unknown purpose.
1. Golden phone with Buddha
This will be the shortest possible comment – just look at this miracle. More talk you do not need – Alladyn would be delighted.
