BlackBerry Ontario – one of the many mythical BB smartphones that never saw the light of day. Finally, we can see what he looked like. Ontario was to be flagged in 2014 with a full-fledged touch screen, but for some reason it never hit the market.
We rarely have the chance to look at prototypes of devices that smartphone manufacturers are testing before choosing the right model. Some photos of the Samsung Galaxy S8 with dual cameras appeared some time ago. Now we can look at BlackBerry Ontario – BB equipment that never hit the market. Ontario is the smartphone BB code name we first heard about three years ago. It was then that the BlackBerry was dealing with smartphones and wanted to bounce off the bottom, but eventually everything ended in a failure.BlackBerry Ontario had to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB RAM and the latest BlackBerry 10.3 on its board. Smartphone was supposed to become the flagship of that manufacturer, replacing the Z30. As I mentioned – the phone never saw the light of day, and in the fall of 2014, it debuted the BlackBerry Passport with a QWERTY keyboard. However, as we can see in the photos – Ontario had a front panel completely covered by a touch screen. In my opinion, he was really good. Maybe Ontario would change BB history? We will never know that now. Source: CrackBerry
