Google made available a new report, through which we learn that Android 6.0 Marshmallow slightly strengthened its position. The statement was included seven period, which ended the eleventh July 2016..
The share of Google's Android 6.0 Marshmallow compared to last month increased by 3.2 percentage points. This compilation is currently working on 13.3% of devices accessing the Google Play store. So Marshmallow slowly approaching the 15 percent share – a threshold that must be exceeded at the earliest in the next statement. There's no denying that the system, which for the first device was made available in early October 2015, after more than 9 months has strengthened its position, but still doing very poorly. Android Lollipop, which has been made available to third-November 2014, after 20 months, is a leader and is currently working on 35.1% of all devices involved in the study. This compilation, however, lost its importance, since the last report was 35.4% of the shares (a decrease of 0.3 percentage points.) Google Android 4.4 KitKat also lost, as it is currently working on 30.1% of devices accessing the Google Play store. This is the biggest decline in the July report – 1.5 percentage points. Android Jelly Bean (4.1.x, 4.2.x, 4.3), which is available for 17.8% of all tablets and smartphones participating in the ranking, it is also a decrease (from 18.9%). Now for veterans – Android 2.2 Froyo, released at the end of May 2010 – just one tenth of a percent. This situation has been going on for several months. It is worth mentioning at the end of the Ice Cream Sandwich, which participated in the statement amounts to 1.7%, and Gingerbread (2.3.3 – 2.3.7) – 1.9%. These last two compilations is also a slight decrease. Unfortunately, the situation Android Marshmallow not going to improve in the following months, as the officially been announced yet Android 7.0 Nougat.
