Official premiere lived to Honor 8 – flagship smartphone subsidiary of Huawei, which has attracted great attention to appearance, strong components, dual camera and a relatively low price.
In the last year we have witnessed the debut Honora 7, which from the very beginning of its presence in the market until now is a great choice for those users who are looking for a solid smartphone at a relatively low price. Will his successor also hit a chord with this group of clients?
Optimum display and glass enclosure
Honor 8 is equipped with a protected glass 2.5D 5.2-inch display with a resolution of Full HD (1920×1080), which gives approx. 423 pixels per inch, so the sharpness of the image is really very good. Both diagonal and resolution are optimal for most customers, so Huawei knows exactly what he's doing. I can not say the same thing in terms of the materials used for the production of housing, because the metal on the rear panel has been replaced by a glass pane. It is indeed a breath of fresh air, as this material is much less popular than metal, and in addition presents itself in my opinion better, but this state lasts until the unit with your hand or a hard surface. Of course this is only my whim, and not everyone must share my point of view.
The heart of the course HiSilicon Kirin 950
probably will not surprise you that for efficiency and smooth operation Honora 8 with covered overlay EMUI 4.1 Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be responsible HiSilicon Kirin 950, which is one of the top two at the moment copyright systems Huawei. It is composed of ośmiordzeniowego processor clocked at a maximum of 2.3 GHz (four main cores Cortex-A72) and 1.8 GHz (four cores auxiliary Cortex-A53) and the GPU Mali-T880MP4. The whole will work with 4.3 GB of RAM. As you probably know you can market to find a more powerful unit, but the majority of customers should be satisfied with the performance of Honora 8.
Dual camera (without the participation of Leica)
Honor 8 is equipped with a dual, 12-megapixel camera, probably the same as it was in Huawei and P9 P9 Plus. However, in this case, the Leica did not participate in its development, as the smartphone can not boast with certificate – although still image quality depends on something more than a piece of paper, so you should wait for the first tests. Unfortunately, the reference point can hardly be a test camera Huawei P9 because the same matrix does not guarantee the same quality photos, but you can take it as a clue. On the front was a standard, 8-megapixel camera for photos selfie.
Pricing and Availability
Honor 8 will be available in the following configurations and prices:
- 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory – 1999 yuan (approx. 1,198 zlotys net)
- 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory – 2299 yuan (approx. 1,377 zlotys net)
- 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory – 2499 yuan (approx. 1,497 zlotys net).
Remember, however, that these prices apply to retail sales in China and do not include virtually any fees or taxes, so our market Honor 8 will be much more expensive – Standard version can be significantly more expensive at the time of market launch than its predecessor (1799 gold) and dangerously close to Huawei level P9 (2,399 zlotys) – the situation from last year, so it does not happen again, and it is no longer clearly a cheaper alternative to the flagship Huawei. At the end I will add that Honor 8 will be available in the colors Pearl White, Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink and Blue Sapphire (which I think is beautiful). Regular sales in China will start on July 19, and the Polish smartphone should hit in August.
