Honor 4X appeared on the Polish market less than a year ago, and has become my property last summer. It seems to me that this phablecie know practically everything – and I still think so this equipment for recommendable?
Honor 4X came to me in the last days of July 2015 so I have it already at home since 8 months. On the pages of gsmManiaKa I shared my (positive) opinion on this device both in our review, and after the upgrade to Android 5.1 Lollipop, but it was a long time ago. Is the passage of time could still recommend Honora 4X?
Without a list of applications can be live!
Honor 4X is one of many phabletów in a market that is running Google Android (currently in version 5.1 Lollipop). However, as the product of
Honor 4X from the start impressed me with two parameters – pretty good display of overhaul maximum brightness and very long battery life. In the first matter, the matter is simple – in bright sunlight legibility is sensational, so if you often stays in such conditions, the Honor 4X is created for you. A little worse will have fans of the night reading, because the brightness minimum is not the best (approx. 10 rivets), however, and this can easily cope with a simple and how effective application Darker :When it comes to battery life despite the many charging cycles have not noticed a significant drop in performance of my results – two days of work at 6-8 hours back-lit screen is the standard, and the lowest of the following results I achieve on 3G / H + / LTE, so it is very good. The real test of Honor 4X survived at the fair MWC 2016 in Barcelona and came out of it unscathed, despite virtually continuous work from morning to late afternoon.
Smooth and stable, but …
work culture Honora 4X does not give me many reasons to complain. In the vast majority of cases phablet running smoothly and steadily, and skipping or trim animations occur so rarely that I could about them do not even remember. However, there are two issues that sometimes do not give me peace. The first problem concerns switching between applications. When I visit the task manager after a long absence, it does not always manage to jump to the program running in the background at first touch, and sometimes I have to tap on the tab for the second time. This is not a problem on a large scale, because there is really occasionally, but it is worth to mention it. Another issue does not arise so much from the action, and EMUI, specifically in terms of the ability to install applications on a memory card, which can be set as the default memory. In the previous version everything worked as it should, and at Lollipopie mousetrap and so end up in the device memory and you have to move them manually. I had not noticed this problem, because I was convinced that everything is fine, but some time ago ,, I did general cleanup '' and managed to catch. Fortunately, it has been revised and expanded in Android Marshmallow, so I'm left waiting for an update – I just hope I do not fall, once there is no longer a functioning beta. Same internal memory of me at the moment there is no shortage – at this moment I am free approx. 1 GB – but could always be better. The very overlay judge very positively, especially by the many interesting features, such as, among others, extended control transfer, manager of programs running in the background / network and thought power saving modes. The only thing I really miss is the ability to work with multiple applications at once in the double window or in a pop-up window, which was present in much lesser LG G2 mini.
Plastic is not bad
Honor 4X is not characterized by a strong structure, but is incredibly durable – landed on the floor longer time (which in most cases is due to my cat) and still looks as it looked after the exit of the box. Contrary to appearances, a good plastic also has its advantages;) The sheer size does not bother me, but for the first few days did not always feel confident when I pulled the phone out of your pocket – now I can, if necessary, handle it with one hand, although it is not the merit of the manufacturer, because he phablet its construction that does not help.
Cameras – every day just in time
I'm a photographer Sunday, so the images do not demand very good quality. It seems to me that Honora 4X can be called a good tool for making occasional photograph, which (as in my case) are shown mainly with family and friends. It's about more or less the photo: The only thing in my opinion fails, this video – LG G2 mini filmed better than Full HD movies Honor 4X. Selfie images do very little, but just in this aspect is about the most.
Is Honora 4X I can still recommend?
The answer to this question is simple – definitely yes. The few drawbacks do not outweigh some great advantages: a solid screen, powerful battery, pretty good camera, or an interesting and extensive overlay. When I looked at the offer of Polish online stores that I have not found too many enemies for a Honora 4X and I mean here mainly for devices with 5.5-inch screen, dual-slot for the SIM card and so powerful battery, so it is still one of the best choices on the market, of course in its price class. Of course, the alternative is even more exotic smartphones from China or Motorola Moto G 2015 with 2 GB of RAM, the Sony Xperia M4 Aqua and LG K10, but I would mention my equipment on any of these smartphones – because as a man accustomed to such a large screen, later it is difficult to go back to something smaller;) Besides, I do not think it would be a worthwhile change, but each of you can of course have a different opinion on the subject. Now I'm waiting for the promised update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and I hope I can you describe your experience in the coming weeks, but unfortunately there is no signals as to its eventual implementation in the near future. Of course, if you have any questions I am at your disposal.
