It seems that the Meizu does not cease to embarrass the leading manufacturers and will continue to produce well-equipped smartphones sold at ridiculously low prices. Courtesy of the Euro just arrived to the editor two new models of the manufacturer – MX5 Meizu and Meizu m2 note. Here are my impressions from the first hours of phone usage.
admit without beating, this is the first time I have contact with the brand Meizu phones. I missed the moment when Antek tested Meizu Meizu MX4 and then m1 note, but the splendor of these phones writes almost every reviewer. Meizu phone phenomenon lies in the fact that the manufacturer spares no effort in nice design and a great specification, while not valued as much as the leaders of the mobile market. We tested two models that differ significantly in terms of price, equipment and performance: Meizu flagship MX5 and Meizu m2 of note being a little leaner proposal to cheaper by almost half of the MX5. Despite the price differences, the broad outlines of the housing both smartphones is almost the same, the MX5 has been finished aluminum with silver trim, and Meizu m2 note has a plastic cover and less resistant display cover. After all, this model seems to me to be much more upscale than 4x Honor, which is sold in roughly the same price! It was equipped with screens 5.5 inches diagonal, both Meizu very well in the hand. They have compact dimensions and a very thin bezel running around the screen, and because they are not heavy, it keeps them comfortably to your ear. We continue to use the phone with one hand is rather impossible (5.5-inch diagonal doing his), but I admit that this is one of deft phabletów with which I had to deal with. Handy, lightweight and well made. Displays both models work in Full HD – MX5 received AMOLED-and, while the Meizu m2 note uses IGZO screen made of a proprietary technology developed by Sharp. I will not go into technicalities here, but for the naked eye can see that note'a m2 screen has less contrast. Obviously – AMOLED is in a class by itself. On the other hand, it seems to me that both displays shine as brightly. Calibrator check it out and see how phones are doing in bright sunlight. I could also check out the most popular benchmarks. Both phones run on 64-bit systems MediaTek. MX5 has Helio X10 – a strong competitor on the Polish market which we find, among others, in Allview X2 Xtreme, which test the pages of our website will be released soon. In AnTuTu test system performance equal to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and for systems Snapdragon 808 and 810, as well WOW! Especially since both Samsung Allview, as well as with Snapdragonami 808/810 models are considerably more expensive than the Meizu MX5. Just look at the comparison of results [test slug = "android-antutu" virtual = "antutu-total" product_id = "21184,20122,20982,20700,20550,20922,21190"] graphics performance measured GFXBench shows a much greater difference between performance Meizu MX5 graphics and other flagowcami or even Allview X2 Xtreme, which is a bit surprising. In 3DMark Unlimited Meizu recorded a little more points than its predecessor. [test slug = "gfxbench-fps" virtual = "manhattan-3-onscreen, manhattan-3-offscreen" product_id = "21184,20122,20982,20700,20550,20922,21190"] [test slug = "3dmark" virtual = "3dmark-ice-storm-unlimited-total" product_id = "21184,20122,20982,20700,20550,20922,21190"] As you may have noticed, the results he added a note which won the Meizu m2 note, just to show the differences in performance of both models. Both, however, excel very well – installed cap FlyME is smooth in operation and easy to use. It is true that we have to get used to another distribution option, the system components and graphical appearance, but it's a nice escape from the typical solutions that encountered so far. Generally speaking, I am positively surprised, which probably will not be much of a surprise for you. I'm just curious one: MX5 whether m2 Note – Meizu more test which you can not wait? We prepare two separate reviews, so if you have any questions about these phones, inscribe them in the comments, but do not forget to specify the model, about which you ask.
